Tonight I am very impressed with myself. I was able to add 9 pages of material to my sequel....yep you read that right 9 FREAKING PAGES in one night. Truthfully I'm only stopping because my children will be awake in 7 hours (if I'm lucky) and I need to get some sleep before then. I hate being on a role and having to stop but life continues whether you are writing a book or not. :) Will add more tomorrow if I can, until then I'm off to sleep.

Looking back at the past week I am very annoyed with myself. Yes, some situations, like my laptop, were unavoidable but I know that if I had written more of my sequel before I had computer issues missing those few days wouldn't have made a difference. With less than 100 days to go now I am starting to feel a little bit of the pressure, but I'm trying not to let it get to me and ruin my sequel. Just because I'm on a deadline, for myself, doesn't mean I want my book to anyless AWESOME :)
With that in mind I have decided to keep all my characters, however I'm planning to ensure each plays a part in the bigger picture and not just serve a purpose for a fleeting moment or a few pages worth of material. Tonight I was able to complete 2 more pages, as well as go back and do some adjusting to my side characters to make them stand out a little more. Really feeling good about the sequel and can't wait to get down to the big fight scene at the end...its going to be AWESOME.
Well, its late and since my babies won't care how much sleep I got I must stop writing for the night...don't you hate when you finally get on a roll with something you have to stop for some reason or another? I hate it.

NEW MOON UPDATE!!
Hey there followers,
Okay, I just wanted to give you a heads up. I know I haven't updated the blog for a few days but I've had some website/laptop issues. My husband Josh is wiping the slate and reinstalling everything...don't worry book & sequel both being saved (I hope) so I should be able to continue adding new information tomorrow, September 24th. *fingers crossed* I'm really loving my sequel at this point and have starting working out how to make the end flow a little better. Debating right now about removing a new character I brought into the story...I already have the main 6 returning and have added 4 more since the story started 118 pages ago...so trying to work out if I should keep them all or remove one/two. I don't want to overwhelm the readers with getting to know more people.
Any ideas or thoughts please let me know.
Now I bet you're wondering why I put the title of this post as NEW MOON UPDATE when I haven't even mentioned it yet :) Well, now I will give you the update. As everyone knows the movie is completed and they are in the process of filming Eclipse currently, my favorite book. Well, tickets for New Moon have been on sale for about two weeks and it was recorded on Friday, September 18th that New MOON sales crushed all ticket sales for movies that opened that day, September 18th...so wait...Yes, you heard me right.
New MOON, which doesn't open until November 20th beat out all movies that came out last Friday for ticket sales.
LOL Funny I know. Us Twilighters know what we want :) I personally have purchased tickets for a 3.10 AM showing on November 20th..yes, you read the time correct.. and have tickets for the New Moon Experience in Utah on November 19th and 20th, which includes a movie showing at 7 PM on the Friday, November 20th. Needless to say I will be commenting on the movie in the earlier hours of the morning come November 20th and will be able to tell you if its still exciting after the second viewing later on that day.
For updates on twilight events and the filming of Eclipse I would recommend the website of www.twilightmoms.com as they are always posting new pictures from the set and giving twitter updates from the cast. Looks beautiful :)
Oh and before I log off I just wanted to say how sad I am that The Mitch Hansen Band didn't make the New Moon Soundtrack :( SUMMIT YOU MISSED OUT ON MEGA SALES. The Mitch Hansen Band would have been a great addition to the soundtrack as they capture the book perfectly in the words they use....well, I guess we'll just need to keep our fingers crossed for the Eclipse soundtrack. Keep listening they are AWESOME :)

Regrettably the dates are correct. I haven't updated my blog for 5 days...please forgive me :) My schedule has been a hectic one. And as everyone knows sometimes life just takes over and before you know it weeks have gone by. Tonight I was able to add another page to my sequel and I am sooo excited to annouce that I was also able to figure out how it will end. No, I don't mean just the end fight but the entire sequel...now I just have to fill the gaps and get it all down on paper :) or on the laptop as the case may be.
Birthday Parties + working night shifts + needing a vacation = 1 page done in 5 days
I am planning to have a vacation, well 4 day weekend shortly, so hopefully I will be able to get some serious writing done...in between watching the kids and cleaning the house :) LOL

Goal: Day 23/Twilight New Moon Update
Before I report on my sequel tonight I just wanted to say I have seen the 3rd New Moon trailer on the MTV.com website and was blown away. From all the pictures I have seen and the trailers I believe Chris has done us crazy Twilighters proud. From just the trailers I can tell that this movie will be better than Twilight and more catered towards men, with all the action, but hey I'm one of the ladies that love a good action movie. If you haven't had a chance to check out the trailer yet see http://www.mtv.com/ for it and all the VMA action you may have missed last night.

Today I was able to add another 2 pages to my sequel and I'm very pleased with the new twists and turns I have added for my characters. Sometimes I feel bad for what my character must go through but I feel that every problem they solve helps them become better people. And yes, I do think of my characters as real people who tell me about their story. While writing a story I feel like the simple viewer, I explain what happens as I see everything, but it is the people who make the story. It is their choices, their flaws and their acheievements that make the story great and I am pleased that my characters chose me to tell their side of things...although after a few scenes of hardship from me they may doubt that decision.
I am seriously excited to find out where the story goes and what new twists will come at the end. As I sleep my characters wait and to them I say please be patient I will return to you in the morning, for now the hour grows late and I'm exhausted. :)
